Experience the magic at Christmas with us. Winter is one of our busiest times with an artificial ice-rink, Father Christmas, Christmas Lunches and much much more!

The festivities kick off with the fabulous Christmas Market. Held over the last weekend of November, Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th, Hestercombe’s Christmas market consists of over 150 stalls, all undercover, offering a variety of hand-crafted, interesting and inspiring gifts. Perfect for that bit of early Christmas shopping. The market is great for all the family, with choirs singing in the Courtyard during the day, a magician and exciting trails or woodland walks around the gardens too.

Early in December is our wonderful Christmas Carol Concert. ‘Carols by Candlelight’ takes place inside the grand entrance hall to Hestercombe House, with singers from Wellington School Chapel Choir singing from the staircase to an audience provided with small candlees. What better way to celebrate Christmas in enchanting style.

Father Christmas lands early in December to meet with all the lucky children and give them a special Christmas gift. Walking up along an enchanting garden path, children love the experience of seeing Father Christmas, who waits in his festive grotto warming his toes by an open fire. Make sure you book early as this is a popular one!

Throughout the festive season the Courtyard Café & Stables Restaurant serve a variety of themed cakes, hot meals and Christmas deals, including the whole three courses and crackers for an extra special day out. Book early for bigger groups and watch out for any changes closer to the time.

Experience the magic with our all weather undercover skating rink*. The artificial skating rink was such a success it will be back for another year in 2013!

Open throughout December and into January, so there’s plenty of time to pop along as many times as you wish. Only a stone’s throw from Taunton and the M5, Hestercombe’s skating rink* is perfect to enjoy the winter magic as well as occupy any excitable children. Situated inside a giant marquee and surrounded with winter creatures and snowy scenes, there are festive refreshments available and plenty of space for spectators.
