Brand New Shop Stock

There's been a flurry of activity in the Garden's Shop recently with all the extra visitors brought out by the sunshine. So to keep up with demand we have ordered some brand new products... From animal themed aprons to games in a box and of course the wide variety of plants that is refreshed each week, there's a perfect gift or treat for everyone.

Bluebell Walks

The bluebell walks around Gotton are now open! The little specks of blue are rather late appearing this year but landscape supervisor Ben Knight has been busy putting out the signs today.  So pop along to the Ticket Office for directions and a map and make your way through the dappled sunshine to the bluebell trails.

Herb May and Seasonal Specials!

Throughout May we are celebrating these amazing little plants. Visit the garden next to the big gates of the courtyard, which will be open for you to explore. See some of the herbs we grow and use in the cafe, and read a bit about them. Kevin and his team have prepared a selection of different herb specials for the ever-changing menu, and Helen in the Plant Centre has some rather good offers on herbs.

But as well as all that - asparagus is in!! Today there were several gardens visitors enjoying a lovely cod dish served with asparagus spears.

Bank Holiday Barbeque

On Monday 6th May - the next bank holiday - Kevin & his team are putting on a special lunchtime barbeque. Our first load of charcoal will be fresh from the kiln and cooling down until it's ready to be bagged and sold in the Hestercombe Shop so what better way to launch BBQ season?! Plus with an extra long weekend everyone has a chance to relax. There will be a selection of sizzling meats and scrumptious salads on offer - something for everyone.

Gardening Blogs

Claire's been busy on our website - have you seen the blog section on the menu bar? Regular updates on gardening and gardening gossip - Jess, our student gardener from Harper Adams, turned 21 last week so there was a big party in the mess room! (Or so I'm led to believe..)

Claire posts most weeks, sometimes several times, so if you can't visit us yourself, it's a great way to keep updated. Gardener's Blog
