HALLOWE’EN IS HORRIFYING AT HESTERCOMBE THIS HALF TERM! October 2012
Non stop fun an frights throughout the holidays.
Hestercombe undergoes a phenomenal transformation at Hallowe’en – from stunning gardens by day to spine chilling chamber of horrors at night! Take a Terror Tour – but take care because the zombies are coming and they will be taking over the gardens! Mad scientists are on standby to despatch them with an antidote. But can you help find it? Seek in the bat filled basement, search amongst the ghosts of the garden, wander with the witches in the undergrowth. It will be terrifying!
Believe it or not Hestercombe’s Terror Tours are so popular you must BOOK your scary slot! Tours run on Fri 26th, Sat 27th and Wed 31st, 6 – 9pm. Owing to this being so petrifying under 14’s must be accompanied. Dying to book? Check out prices and time lots online.
If this is a step too far (into the dark and unknown,) then for the less brave, throughout half term the Landscape Gardens will be dressed up for free Spooky Daytime Trails – which are perfect for younger children. There’s a surprise around every corner and a scary quiz to do. Join Kelvin in the Creepy Café for pumpkin carving too, for just £5 children will have hours of creative fun! There are two sessions, at 11am and 3.30pm during Half Term and booking is definitely advisable. Bring your own pumpkin or buy one from Hestercombe. (Normal garden admission rates apply.)
An all pervading aura of Hallowe’en extends everywhere from the creepy courtyard where spiders and ghouls have already taken up residence in the Hester Tomb, to the gruesome goodies being served up in the café and Stables Restaurant, including Coffin Cakes and Spooky Biscuits.
