Somerset Day Cream Tea
Sat, 11th May at 10:00 am to 5:00 pm£3.50
How do you like your cream tea: jam first, or cream first? Or…the Somerset way?
As part of the annual Somerset Day celebrations on Saturday 11th May, Hestercombe’s Head Chef Mathew Taylor has created a special Somerset Day Cream Tea, to take on our neighbours from Devon and Cornwall.
Throughout the day at both the Stables Cafe and Column Room Restaurant, you can enjoy plain Somerset scones topped with local Gundenham Dairy’s clotted cream and a fresh Somerset strawberry compote. In a unique Somerset twist, the clotted cream and compote will be mixed together to create a brand new Somerset cream tea.
£3.50 for a scone topped with compote
£5.00 to include a pot of tea
£7.00 to include a bottle of Somerset cider
