Chair (voluntary)
VoluntaryAs Hestercombe enters a new chapter, poised to build on the achievements of the last few years with a wealth of opportunities to deliver even more to the communities that it serves, we are looking to appoint a new Chair.
Fun but hard working, we’re a diverse business; both an inspiring visitor attraction and a busy wedding, conference and function venue. Our aim is to create a place that people will love and will want to visit over and over, creating happy memories and spending time with friends and family.
We’re looking for people who work well in a busy team environment whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards, always going that extra step to deliver a truly personal customer experience.
Please see below for details of paid and voluntary roles we are recruiting for at the moment. On site accommodation may be available if required.

Come and join the team to help us run our new Gallery Shop!
From working selling books to visitors to doing the ‘behind the scenes’ sorting there’s lots to be done in the bookshop. We have donations arriving every week that need sorting, pricing and cleaning before they can be put out for sale. And once they’re on the shelves there’s serving visitors and chatting to them about the books they like. We ask for a commitment of one morning or afternoon every two weeks.
As a volunteer in this role, you will meet and greet visitors to the new Hestercombe House Gallery, helping them to get the most out of their visit. You will have information about each of the artworks in your section and will be working as part of a team. You will be responsible for safeguarding the paintings and guiding visitors through the different rooms of the ‘pop-up’ gallery.
We're always looking for donations of books to stock the book shop ~ any number, any type. If you have books to donate please contact Linda Sandford.
