A special area in the apple orchard below the Pergola has been set aside so families can scatter the ashes of loved ones within the grounds of the estate, while spending time to reflect.
Close to the Formal Gardens the orchard is quiet and calming - the perfect place for contemplation. In spring the daffodils are in bloom, in early summer the trees are in full flower, and in autumn they are covered in fruit. It is a truly beautiful setting.
To use Hestercombe as a place of remembrance, we ask for a donation of £175 to the Hestercombe Gardens Trust towards the maintenance, future upkeep and development of the gardens.
