Tickets still available for Saturday and Sunday night Illumina
Notice
If you're planning to visit between Monday 9th September and Friday 13th September, please be aware that there is a diversion in place to get to the main entrance. This is due to Wessex Water works taking place and closing the road along Pitchers Hill in Cheddon Fitzpaine. To see where the road closure is and the diversion, please click here. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
We were treated to a lovely still evening at Hestercombe last night for the first Illumina of 2013. We seemed to miss the rain that got the rest of the area - people do say we have a Hestercombe micro-climate! We're all set for another beautiful evening tonight. If you've not got your tickets yet don't panic there are still some available either online, by phone (01823 413923) or on the door. Don't forget to wrap up warm and wear flat shoes - this is an adventure in the dark...
If you fancy dinner beforehand then you can also book that now or there will be spaces available if you want to just turn up. Our clever kitchen team are cooking up some tasty, warming casseroles and stews for you to enjoy before you walk.
Don't forget Illumina runs tonight and Sunday night, then next Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Plus next week we have an exciting opportunity available to school groups: there are three workshop sessions next week in which Illumina artist, Ulf Pedersen, will work with a group of students to create a joint installation for a celebratory finale of Illumina.
If you know a group of students, are a teacher or parent and want your school to be involved in this unique event please call Emily or Steph on 01823 413923.
There is no charge for this opportunity, which is funded by the Arts Council England.
