Hestercombe is currently closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic ~ please read our updated opening information
We are delighted to share with you the news that we will be reopening exclusively for Hestercombe members from Wednesday 17th March, for a two week period, in which only Hestercombe members will be able to visit the gardens. Bookings are essential, and will open on Wednesday 10th March via the Hestercombe website, and as before, we will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10am - 5pm.
If you're not already a member, but would like to take advantage of the exclusive reopening, along with the many other benefits, you can sign up via our membership page.
From Wednesday 31st March, non-members will also be able to visit Hestercombe, and if all goes to plan with the Government's Covid recovery roadmap, from Monday 12th April we will be opening daily - seven days a week - for the first time since the initial lockdown in March 2020.
Indoor catering, and Hestercombe House and Gallery, will all reopen from Monday 17th May. (Please note ~ this is subject to change, depending on Government restrictions).
Whilst we've been closed, we have taken the opportunity to improve visitors' experience on site, including the creation of a new cafe facility in the location of the former Hestercombe Gift Shop, and refurbishment of the Stables Cafe. As work on this continues, we will be serving a limited range of food and drink from our reopening date on 17th March. We should have some more updates and photos of the new cafe space for you soon.
We thank you for your incredible patience and support whilst we have been forced to close over the past two months. We are all very much looking forward to welcoming you back to Hestercombe, when there will still be snowdrops to enjoy and masses of daffodils, not yet open, to put a Spring in your step.
Hestercombe Gardens is currently closed in order to protect both staff and visitors.
Further updates on Hestercombe's reopening will be published online, by email to our members and via Facebook and Twitter.

Over the last 30 years Hestercombe’s historic landscape and its unique, world famous gardens have been lovingly restored.
However, Hestercombe’s closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on Hestercombe Gardens Trust’s finances. We’re an independent charity without the safety net of larger organisations, and we must now raise substantial funds to ensure Hestercombe continues to thrive and to help secure its magnificent heritage for future generations.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donation that you are able to give. Thank you.
If you are a UK taxpayer and you select ‘Please Gift Aid this donation’, the UK Government will give Hestercombe Gardens Trust an additional contribution of 25% at no extra cost to you.
I'd like to donate
