We are OPEN

Sadly the beautiful bluebells that have graced the slopes of the landscape garden and the shady spots in the trees are now giving their final flourish. Ben our landscape supervisor will be closing the walks for this year this afternoon (Monday 2nd June) and so it will be another year until the blue beauties return.

But fear not this is a real sign of summer and the rest of the gardens will be bursting into full throttle over the next month. The irises on the East Rill are out now but towards the end of June / beginning of July the summer planting plans of Gertrude Jekyll come into their own in the formal gardens. Or visit in August to see bright red and salmon pink gladiolis explode over the Great Plat.
