Due to staff shortages in our catering team (congratulations to our Head Chef who has just gone on paternity leave), over the weekends of the 11th/12th and 18th/19th May we will be serving BBQ food only from outside our Stables Restaurant, as well as cakes, sandwiches and ice cream in our cafe. To say thank you for the £30million raised for good causes every week by players and to welcome people back to their happy places, The National Lottery is unlocking free entry and special offers at a range of participating venues, as part of The National Lottery Open Week.
From Saturday 5 to Sunday 13 June, The National Lottery Open Week line-up includes free entry as well as exclusive discounts and offers from incredible attractions and experiences across the UK, including Hestercombe Gardens. From galleries and museums to historic castles and gardens as well as sports stadiums and venues, offers are open to anyone with a valid National Lottery ticket or scratchcard and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
From 2pm daily, from Monday 7th until Friday 11th June, National Lottery ticket-holders are able to pre-book a visit to Hestercombe for free, ensuring that they present their ticket upon arrival at Visitor Reception.
One National Lottery ticket or scratchcard will give access to one adult and any accompanying children under 16.
We’re delighted to be taking part in The National Lottery Open Week. The emergency funding Hestercombe has received from the Heritage Fund has enabled the charity to survive the storm of Covid-19 and be able to continue to maintain its unique historic gardens for the benefit of the local communities on whose support we depend. This is our way of saying thank you to everyone who has bought a National Lottery ticket and, perhaps without realising it, helped save this precious heritage as well as making a vital contribution to supporting thousands of other good causes.
