As of 4pm on Sunday 22nd March, we will be closing Hestercombe to all visitors to do our bit in helping to stop the spread of Coronavirus. This has been a very difficult decision to take, but we feel that it is in the best interests of all of our visitors, members, staff and volunteers to strongly emphasise our support of social distancing practices, and encourage people not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
We know that many people will be feeling understandably anxious about the closure of not just Hestercombe, but parks and gardens elsewhere, and to help combat this we are hoping to create digital content for you to enjoy in the meantime on social media. You can also explore our online exhibitions on Google Arts & Culture, and watch our videos on Vimeo.
As an independent charity we really do appreciate your continued support throughout this time; if you are able, please do purchase a gift voucher to use in the future, consider making a donation to our charity and continuing with your monthly membership Direct Debits – they will help sustain the many vital jobs that we provide at Hestercombe.
We will keep following the latest government advice and will be updating this statement as and when there is any further news. We will of course reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you again for your understanding.
