Screening | Pandaemonium (Cert 12)

We are delighted to host two screenings of Julien Temple’s ‘Pandaemonium’ to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary this September.

Starring John Hannah as William Wordsworth and Linus Roache as Samuel Taylor Coleridge, the film is a passionate story of poetry, love, betrayal and addiction, much of which was filmed on The Quantock Hills and Exmoor, including scenes shot in the gardens at Hestercombe.

Presented by Screen Somerset, Somerset Film and Hestercombe House and Gardens, the screenings at 2pm and 7pm will take place in one of the main house’s stunning Dining Room - the first time the historic building has hosted such an event. The evening screening will be introduced by its acclaimed director who lives in Somerset.

Innovative and stylish, Pandaemonium also stars Samantha Morton as Coleridge’s wife Sara, Emily Woof as Wordsworth sister Dorothy, with a supporting cast including Andy Serkis, Dexter Fletcher and Sam West.

As well as the pear pond at Hestercombe, the film shot at locations including Wills Neck, Kilve Beach, Nether Stowey and West Bagborough, and the Holnicote Estate on Exmoor.
