Summer Late Openings at Hestercombe have finished for 2021 ~ we hope you enjoyed the gardens, food and entertainment this summer! Watch out for our 2022 late openings which will be announced in spring 2022.

Hestercombe's beautiful summer gardens will be open until 8pm on Wednesday evenings until September!

Enjoy the 50 acres of historic gardens after hours, and see the landscape in a unique way as we leave them open towards dusk - perfect for an after-work or school visit to relax. The café will be open each night, serving sandwiches, cake, gelato and drinks, which can be enjoyed whilst being serenaded by talented musicians throughout the evening.

You no longer need to pre-book timed admission to a Summer Late Opening, just turn up from 5pm - 7pm.

Further info

  • You must have summer late opening admission in order to take advantage of the food and entertainment on offer;
  • Last entry to the gardens will be at 7pm, in order for you to enjoy the gardens before they close at 8pm;
  • Once you've checked in at the Visitor Reception, you will be able to explore the gardens or head straight down to the Courtyard and Marquee Lawn to enjoy food and drink from Caffe + Gelato, and that evening's live music (see the full list below of what's on);
  • You no longer need to book summer late opening admission online - just turn up!
  • Children and families will also enjoy our brand new natural play area in the Landscape Garden!
