Syntropic Agroforestry systems

This course is for you if you want to super charge your agroforestry system to produce more and quicker!

This workshop is about the complex systems that are described as syntropic, how they can be created in temperate zones and the benefits of creating one

Topics include:

• Species Design
• Crops available
• Yearly cycle of management

Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for all weathers!

This course is delivered outside on site, and the ground is uneven. We will spend some time under cover in the polytunnel / glasshouse.

Suitable for:

Anyone with a basic understanding of Agroforestry systems or Forest Gardens.

About the event (including practical elements):

We will plant up a sample site using syntropic principles.

We will discuss fertility building to create a whole ecosystem of plants.

You will have an understanding of the plants which fit within this system and how to create your own syntropic system.

You will leave with a good understanding of how syntropic agroforestry works and their benefits to soil health, the environment and to us as growers.
