Event Details

This free workshop offers an informal look around our edible garden and growing spaces at Hestercombe. We’ll share what we’ve been cultivating, how we grow, and why our methods focus on long-term sustainability and resilience.

As we walk around the site, there will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions. You’ll also have the chance to taste a variety of crops as we go, including:

  • Herbs
  • Leaves and salads
  • Edible flowers
  • Edible perennials
  • Jams

Our regenerative growing approach is centred on building healthy, resilient soils and ecosystems—reducing the need for watering and labour, protecting crops naturally, and adapting to extreme weather conditions without the use of chemicals.

This session is suitable for gardeners and growers of all abilities. Please note that the site includes a steep hill and uneven ground. The workshop takes place outdoors, with some time spent under cover in the polytunnel or glasshouse.
