Due to staff shortages in our catering team (congratulations to our Head Chef who has just gone on paternity leave), over the weekends of the 11th/12th and 18th/19th May we will be serving BBQ food only from outside our Stables Restaurant, as well as cakes, sandwiches and ice cream in our cafe. A limited menu will also be available from Monday to Friday over the next two weeks. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
This time next week (Friday 13th) sees many Christmas events taking place at Hestercombe, not least to mention the CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY!!
This year we thought we’d join in with the national money raiser for Save the Children and bring the festive spirit to Hestercombe. The idea is that all staff (we’re extending the invite to all visitors too!!) wear a Christmas jumper to work and bring in £1 that will go towards the charity.
As Hestercombe is a charity to we have spoken to Save the Children and have agreed to split the proceeds. We are hoping that this will raise awareness of both charities at the same time as getting everyone in the mood for Christmas!
If you are planning to come to Hestercombe on Friday 13th please do join in with the fundraising. Bring your best festive jumper and there will be donations pots (or donations watering cans!) around our Visitor Centre for you to give this Christmas.
