Join us in Bampfylde Hall for a day to remember for chocolate lovers.

The Chocolatier Experience will be hosted by Paul Ruttledge, Hestercombe's Patissier, whose experience includes three-rosette restaurants.

You will:

  • learn how to temper chocolate
  • craft moulded chocolates, including decoration and filling
  • discover the art of enrobing chocolate

Every chocolate you make will be yours to take home to enjoy and share.

Over lunch a special two course menu will be served in the restaurant (included with your ticket):

Chicken & pearl barley risotto

or marinated tofu & pearl barley risotto (vegetarian)

Pistachio cake with raspberry sorbet, raspberry gel, chocolate crumb and honeycomb shard

Menu contains gluten, dairy, and sulphites (wine in the risotto)

Tea or coffee is included on arrival. Every ticket will also receive free garden entry worth £14.50, which can be enjoyed after the experience ends at 2pm.

Good to know

The event takes place in Bampfylde Hall at Hestercombe Gardens, Cheddon Fitzpaine, Taunton, Somerset TA2 8LG

Dietary requirements can be catered for at lunch; please email food@hestercombe.com with these, and include your booking reference number. Allergens used during chocolate making are milk and soya.

Hestercombe is now a fully cashless venue, so on the day we can only accept payment by card or contactless payments.

Tickets are not transferable or refundable. If in the event that Hestercombe has to cancel the event a full refund will be given.
